Getting around Cap Salou

Events in Cap Salou

For music-lovers: Held in Tarragona, on a date between July and August, the Cambrils International Music Festival hosts a wide variety of music and dance styles, from laid-back jazz to sultry flamenco. Less than 20 minutes’ drive from Cap Salou, you’ll find performances taking place in spectacular venues, such as Vilafortuny Castle.

Summer fun: August sees Salou’s Golden Nights descend across the Costa Dorada. Famous throughout the Golden Coast, this is the name given to the extravagant summer festivities, which include giant puppets and human towers.

Fit for a king: With everything from markets to medieval re-enactments, Salou brings the Middle Ages back to life in September for the King Jaume I Festival.
For petrol-heads: The Spanish stage of the World Rally Championship starts in Salou each October, with the main race taking place in nearby Portaventura.
