Troya Beach Spain

Tenerife is known for its volcanic, black sandy beaches. The most famous beach happens to be right on your doorstep in Playa de las Americas. Whilst the sand isn't as black as the night, Troya Beach will still blow your mind. The sand is formed from volcanic rocks and minerals that are dark coloured and rich in iron. Due to the nature of this kind of sand, it means it can get extremely hot in the summer, so be sure to wear suitable footwear if you venture out to the south coast. Troya Beach also offers a large selection of sunbeds, which you can hire for the day at 6 each.

If you're looking for something more active, crash through the waves on a jet ski or have an experience of a lifetime clinging on to a banana boat. Behind the beach, the Playa de Troya will spoil you for choice with the numerous bars, restaurants and nightclubs. All the beaches in Playa de las Americas are child friendly with their fine grain sand and shallow water. Find incredible rock pools amongst the shore of Troya Beach, where you can see the likes of small fish, crabs and sea shells.
