Puerto Del Carmen Nightlife: Bars & Clubs

The heart of Lanzarote's clubbing scene, Puerto del Carmen is popular with partygoers and those looking for a buzzing, action-packed holiday. One of the main advantages of staying here, besides the Puerto del Carmen nightlife and easy access to beautiful beaches, is that you'll only be a 15-minute drive from Lanzarote International Airport, so those transfer times are cut to a minimum and you'll have more time to have fun in the sun! It's got some pretty awesome nightlife too, and with dozens of bars in Puerto del Carmen, it's the best place to be in Lanzarote after dark.

Bars and clubs in Puerto del Carmen

You'll find numerous cocktail bars and lounges around Avenida de las Playas, which is also home to a casino if you're feeling lucky. Many of the venues in this area remain open well into the early hours, although bear in mind that most dance floors don't get busy until after midnight, and a lot of clubs in Lanzarote don't even open until 10pm or 11pm.

Many of these Puerto del Carmen nightlife venues have a cosy, casual theme, such as laid-back The Scotch Corner pub, or The Island Bar, both of which are on Calle Tenerife. The area known as The Strip or New Town has several clubs plus other bars and restaurants, and is particularly popular with party lovers, especially in the Centro Atlantico area with its big show bars. Bars often provide entertainment in English, too, thanks to Puerto del Carmen's popularity with us Brits!

The Old Town

In Puerto del Carmen's picturesque Old Town, you'll find the bars and restaurant are more traditionally Spanish and are where the locals eat, so you know you're getting authentic Spanish food. One of the most popular venues is San Miguel, which operates as a café in the morning before turning into a tapas joint after dark, when many locals dine here. Order a delicious cocktail and enjoy great live music, which varies from disco hits to pop rock.
