Visit the Atlantic Museum
Come to the first underwater museum in the Atlantic Ocean and Europe. This fascinating attraction, just 300 metres from Marina Rubicón, includes a huge artificial reef with concrete sculptures, which you can explore by booking a diving excursion, any day of the year.
Whether you're a novice diver or someone with a bit more experience, you'll be guided by an experienced instructor who will show you a whole new world just below the surface. The aquatic artworks were designed by the British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, who also created the world's first underwater sculpture garden in Grenada in the Caribbean, which has been ranked among the world's 25 best wonders by National Geographic. The museum's artificial reefs were opened to stimulate new marine life, following the extensive deterioration of marine ecosystems around the world.
Other activities at Marina Rubicón
Book a sailing adventure all year round for the best views of Playa Blanca. Try an exhilarating ocean ride, a segway tour, or a sailing trip to see the surrounding coast or try a bit of deep sea fishing. The marina also has tennis courts and a family swimming pool where you can enjoy more stunning views of the boats of Marina Rubicón.
Other places to visit in Lanzarote
Head to the Timanfaya National Park, a unique Martian like volcanic landscape that was formed during six years of eruptions in the early 18th century. Treat yourself to a tasty lunch at the El Diablo restaurant, which is the only restaurant you'll ever eat at that cooks its food from the heat of the bubbling lava below the ground! Don't forget to bring your camera.
Visit the stunning golden sandy beach of Playa de Papagayo, just a short drive to the east of Marina Rubicón, and soak up the sun on the white sand or dive into the emerald water. The water here is so calm, in fact, that it almost feels like a giant swimming pool, which means it's well suited to timid swimmers and children. In fact, you can even hop on a waterbus to this beach straight from Marina Rubicón.
