From relaxing days at the beach to partying until the early hours, whether you're travelling alone, as a couple, part of a group of friends or as a family, there's plenty of things to do in Palma Nova for everyone. Top of the list has to be those beautiful beaches.
With three stunning, golden beaches to choose from, it's easy to spend nearly all of your holiday in Palma Nova simply soaking up the sunshine, or going for a paddle in those azure blue waters. There's plenty to keep you entertained on the beaches, too, with adrenaline-pumping water sports on Playa Palma Nova, or glass-bottomed boat tours from Son Maties.
Historic Majorca
Don't limit yourself to those powder-soft beaches, though (as tempting as it is!). There are plenty of nearby attractions for the whole family to enjoy, from water parks, to historical sites that give you a real sense of the culture of the islands. Majorca isn't just pumping clubs and bars, there's plenty of more laid-back things to see and do.
The island is home to prehistoric settlements, and everyone from the Moors to the Romans have left their mark on the way through. So head off to the island's interior and you'll come across everything from the spectacular Arab Baths in Palma, through to the mysterious Bronze Age Megaliths that are all that remain of the ancient Talaoitic settlements.
Culture aplenty
The islands have attracted artists, writers, and poets for centuries, and as a result there's a strong cultural side to Majorca that'll charm and delight you. Famous composer Chopin lived on the island for a while, and even our very own Agatha Christie was inspired to write a collection of short stories after she stayed here. Because it's so easy to get around Majorca, you can hire a car and go exploring across the island when you holiday in Palma Nova.
Things to do in Palma Nova
If you want to stay a little closer to your base in Palma Nova, then there's plenty to see and do within easy reach. Golfers will love the championship-standard courses (and the excellent bar at the 19th hole!). Top spot for shopping is the Paseo del Mar, a wonderful promenade of shops along the front where you can buy everything from keyrings and trinkets through to hand-crafted jewellery and leatherwork. You'll also find some of the best restaurants along here too, great for a romantic meal for two as the sun sets over the ocean.
And when that sun finally sinks below the horizon, the clubs open their doors, welcoming you with banging beats, live music and tribute acts. Dance until dawn, then grab a coffee and some breakfast on the promenade so you're ready for another day of fun! There's so much to do when you holiday in Palma Nova; make a day of experiencing the thrills of the waterpark or take an hour or two to play a round of mini-golf. If you're more of a night owl then you've got the resort's bars and the clubs of the neighbouring Magaluf.
You're also close by to Palma for a day out in the capital, but with so many things to do in Palma Nova, you can stay right here and enjoy that fabulous beach a bit longer!
