Agadir Kasbah
For spectacular views of the harbour and glistening coast take a tour up to Agadir Kasbah ruins. The medieval fortress sits proudly on the Kasbah Mountain and was originally built in 1540 by the Berbers who needed military support for battles against the Portuguese and Dutch armies. The fortress was later restored in the 1740s but all that remains today are the sandy coloured outer walls and its dramatic entrance.
You can walk along the walls for breathtaking views out across the Agadir countryside and shimmering waters. Take a taxi to the site or if you're feeling adventurous hike up the hillside to make the views even more rewarding.
