Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
The currency in Langkawi is the Malaysian ringgit (MYR).
The ringgit is divided into 100 sen, with 5, 10, 20, and 50 sen coins in circulation, though they hold little value, so you'll mostly use banknotes. The notes are easy to distinguish thanks to their bright colours and varying sizes. The denominations are RM1 (blue), RM5 (green), RM10 (red), RM20 (orange), RM50 (green-blue), and RM100 (purple). The word 'ringgit' means 'jagged' in Malay, referring to the rough-edged Spanish silver coins once used during colonial times.
Credit and debit cards are accepted in many places, but not everywhere so it's advisable to have some physical cash with you as well. For the best exchange rate, it's advisable to buy your ringgit before leaving the UK. Currency exchange desks are available at Langkawi Airport and at many hotels.
