Lindos Nightlife

This may be a small town, but nightlife in Lindos has plenty to offer. During the day, the pretty town of Lindos keeps up a traditional appearance, with its ancient architecture, quaint sugar-cubed houses and cypress trees.

But when the sun goes down, this place really comes alive, and you can expect to find a bustling atmosphere with plenty of nightlife. In Lindos, things start later on in the evening, so you've got plenty of time to enjoy a full day's sightseeing and even fit in a quick nap before heading out.

You'll find a choice of bars, restaurants and tavernas in the heart of Lindos, where you can sample Greek cooking, grab an ice-cold Mythos beer, and take in amazing views of the sunset. If you do fancy staying up all night, you'll find a handful of nightclubs to keep you entertained.  

Drinks and dinner with a view

While the magnificent Acropolis glows brightly in the dark, you can while away the evening with a drink in hand, soaking up that breath-taking view. If incredible views sound appealing, you won't be able to resist making a beeline for the rooftop terraces that are dotted around town.

One of the most inviting places to go is the Courtyard Bar, a firm favourite among visitors to Lindos. It's a great spot to relax with a cocktail and mingle with the locals, and there's a dance floor, too. Head to the bar to order a mojito or a tequila, before making your way out to the bar's terrace; from here, you can admire the view of the Fortress of the Knights.

Feeling hungry? Dinner with a view is very much on the menu down at Melenos; as well as superb seafood, this sea-view terrace restaurant serves up views over Pallas Beach and beyond. If you're looking for a place to watch the sunset on the horizon, this restaurant should be on your list.

You'll also find a lovely terrace over at the Calypso taverna, where you can sample the tastiest Greek delights.  

Stay out late

If you want to stay out late and dance the night away, you're in luck. But if you're expecting busy superclubs, you won't find any here; Lindos nightlife is a sophisticated affair. Lindos By Night Bar is one of your options. It's been open since the 1980s, and it's a popular player in the Lindos nightlife scene. You'll be greeted with a warm welcome at this three-floor bar, before you order a cocktail and make your way up to the rooftop; the views from here are superb. Then it's time to head down to the middle floor, where you'll find the resident DJ playing.

Night owls will also love the Amphitheatre Boutique Club, a stylish outdoor club with gorgeous views of the town and the sea. Nights out here are all about making the most of the balmy evenings, laid-back drinks and great music from DJs and live bands.
