If you have young children then consider taking some jelly shoes away with you, as there can be a few rocks on the sea bed. With their feet nice and safe, your little ones can splash away all day in the shallows, and build sandcastles at the water's edge.

If you get hungry, there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the beach where you can grab a bite for lunch and a cool drink.

Or if you need a bit of action, have a go at some of the watersports on offer at Kardamena Watersports Centre. Cling on tight on a banana boat ride, zip across the waves on a jet ski, or try your hand at waterskiing as you get your adrenaline going.

After a day in the sun, head to Bar Street for a few drinks, and decide whether you want to spend tomorrow whizzing down the slides at Aquatica Water Park or exploring the Folklore Museum.
