Mercat de la Boqueria

Housed in an impressive modernista building just off La Rambla, Mercat de la Boqueria is a bustling food market and a must-visit for any trip to Barcelona. As soon as you set your eyes on this colourful market, prepare for a brilliant attack on the senses as you hear the shouts of the vendors and the smell of fresh, locally sourced produce.

As you step through the iron entrance and walk through the market, you’ll be greeted by all kinds of stalls. Colourful displays of freshly pressed fruit juices, traditionally cured meats and delicious seafood make this a perfect place to go for a snack or spot of lunch.
