California Academy Of Sciences USA
The California Academy of Sciences is one of the largest natural history museums in the world, housing over 26 million varieties of animals and plants. It is also the only place on Earth where you can experience an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum and four-storey rainforest, all under one roof.
In the aquarium, you'll find more than 38 thousand live animals representing over nine hundred species. It's home to the world's deepest indoor coral reef, a colony of African penguins and a shark lagoon. In the rainforest, you'll find birds, butterflies and Amazonian fish housed in the tall glass dome.
Learn fact and stories of faraway galaxies in the planetarium and discover the power of natural forces in the Shake House earthquake simulator at the natural history museum. If you're after a one-of-a-kind experience, the science academy holds themed nights outside its normal opening hours so you can get more out of your visit.
For the over 21s, there's a night of live music, cocktails and special entertainment as well as exploring the academy after dark. Families can enjoy the penguin and pyjamas night with snacks, story time and more time with the animals.
