Kemer Carnival

Tucked away between the turquoise-blue sea and amazing views of the Taurus mountains, Kemer is one of Antalya's most popular holiday resorts. Fireworks, dance shows and folk concerts

Events and festivals in Kemer

Of course, there are plenty more lively events in the city to experience if you want to immerse yourself in local Antalyan culture. As well as the Kemer carnival, there's the Golden Pomegranate Festival in May, with a mix of art exhibitions, shows and fireworks. Watch the famous Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival at the ancient Aspendos theatre, which draws thousands of visitors a year.

For something a little more energetic, you can always take a trip to Kemer and kick on the new year with all your healthy resolutions intact with the city marathon! Every New Year's Eve, hundreds of locals and tourists gather in their workout gear in Kemer centre and run either a half or full marathon. Let the buzz of the racing atmosphere spur you to cross the finish line and gain that medal, while taking in the region's breathtaking beauty on route.
