Aqualand Torremolinos

Aqualand is the largest waterpark in Torremolinos and the Costa del Sol, with more than 30 slides and a host of other age-appropriate entertainment for the whole family. Aqualand is famous across Europe as being one of the biggest and best parks, and is the perfect destination on a hot, sunny day.

Getting there and ticket details

Aqualand waterpark in Torremolinos is just a 10-minute walk from downtown Torremolinos. Many of the resorts, including Malaga and Benalmadena offer direct buses to Aqualand, so it's easy to hop on and head there from right outside your hotel doors.

Alternatively, you can book a taxi, which is a good option in the summer when the temperature is high.

You can buy 1-day passes for adults (aged 11-65), and for children (aged 5-10) and toddlers (aged 3-4). Seniors over 65 can also get a 1-day pass that makes it cheap for everyone to get in and have some fun.

Our top tip: to save money buy a 1-day family pack for two adults and two children rather than buying individual day-passes.

Going with friends? You can buy a friends pack that allows four adults entry for one day. If you don't fancy waiting around in the sun then you can pay a little extra for a fast pass to jump the queues on the most popular rides.

Adrenaline attractions

Aqualand in Torremolinos doesn't just provide fun for the children. There are 12 slides that get the adrenaline pumping: The Boomerang is a 15-metre high half pipe float ride you can go on alone, or with someone else, while the Multipista is a new attraction at the waterpark, where you can race with your friends on a rapid course.

Feeling brave? Challenge yourself with The Kamikaze, the highest waterslide in Europe at 22m with a dizzying descent. The Crazy Race is made up of four 45-metre long soft slides - see if you can get to the finish line first.

If that wasn't enough there is the Crazy Cones, the Anaconda, Espiral, Twister, Super Slalom, Rapids, Black Hole and Speedracer to test your nerves.

Kidzworld

Made up of Aquatic Mushroom and Children's Paradise, Kidzworld is designed for tots. Fountains and shallow pools make this perfect for little ones. Scaled down slides, inflatables and pool games make it a safe place for small ones to enjoy the water. There's a constant lifeguard patrol too, keeping an eye on everyone.

Family fun

When you have had enough of the slides, head with the family to surf beach where you can experience waves over a metre high. The Tropical Lagoon offers calm waters and is a great place to chill out for a while. Hire a parasol and lounger to relax next to the water.

Relax and play

Aqualand is 70,000m sq., so even in the busy times during peak season it will never feel crowded. There's plenty of green, open spaces where you can sit in the shade and enjoy a picnic and relax. You are allowed to bring your own food and drink into the park as long as there is no glass.

If packing your own picnic doesn't appeal, there are on-site restaurants and snack-shacks where you can get something to eat and drink. It gets very hot, and although the water makes you feel refreshed you can quickly get dehydrated. Make sure you drink plenty of water and apply sunscreen regularly.
