Atmospherically lit and unmistakeably Spanish, this rustic restaurant serves excellent tapas and superb local wines. Although it's almost always busy, it's never rowdy. You know it's good, too, because the locals come here to enjoy delicious food in ambient surroundings.

Up-tempo evenings

For something livelier, the Mandala Beach Club is one of the best Mojacar bars for all-night parties. Keeping the crowds on their feet, you'll find top-notch DJs spinning the decks until the sun comes up. Although it's a relatively small venue, the Mandala Beach Club is big on character, with theme parties, dance displays and an excellent range of drinks.

Alternatively, head for Tito's Beach Bar for good tunes, good drinks and a good crowd. Again, this is a smaller venue, but its dancefloor opens up onto the beach, allowing you to continue to dance and party under the stars with warm sand underfoot. Mojacar nightlife comes in all shapes and sizes, but there's something for everyone, whether you want it up-tempo and loud, or laid back and relaxed.
