Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday

All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806

By bus: Gran Canaria has a cheap and well-organised bus service running between the major resorts, as well as between attractions in the resorts themselves. You’ll find bus stops in Puerto Rico’s commercial centre and at the beach.
By car: The quickest and easiest way to explore – and you get to set your own timetable too. Just make sure your hotel has somewhere to park your hire car!
By taxi: Taxis are readily available and run on a meter. They’re the best option for short journeys like getting back to your hotel in the evening.
Carnival: In February, the legendary Carnival comes to Gran Canaria for a week of mayhem before Lent. If you’re lucky enough to be there, expect a week of colourful parades, dancing and OTT costumes.
Summer festival: The city of Las Palmas (about an hour from Puerto Rico) throws its summertime festival, Fiestas Fundacionales, in June. Well worth the trip, with concerts, parades and bonfires.
Firework fiesta: Never missing a chance for a celebration, Gran Canaria marks the Fiesta de San Lorenzo in August – showcasing the biggest firework display in the Canary Islands!

Puerto Rico is on the southwestern coast of Gran Canaria, sheltered from any cool winds that might be blowing from the north.
