Majorca Nightlife

Our favourite thing about nightlife in Majorca is the variety. Whether you fancy dancing 'til dawn in a vibrant club, taking to the waves on a boat party, or a simple evening at a local bar watching the world go by, Majorca delivers an evening for everyone. If you're in one of the more laid-back resorts, such as Puerto Pollença, you'll enjoy spending time chilling out over cocktails, before strolling along the beach to a music bar. If dancing to the latest tunes is more your thing, Majorca has some of the most legendary nightlife of the Balearics.

Bars

Bars are where the evening starts. Whether you're looking for a few drinks before a family dinner, or a drink or two as part of a big night out, Majorca's bars are as varied as their cocktails. Relaxed resorts like Cala Millor or C'an Picafort are the perfect place to watch the sun go down while enjoying a local Gin Eva, or the Majorcan speciality liqueur Palo, made by combining smooth caramel with bitter chinchona bark. It's delicious, and you won't find it anywhere else.

Beer drinkers will find plentiful supplies of imported cerveza and asking for una ca ña will bring a delicious draught beer. After-dinner drinks come in the shape of rich almond or orange liqueurs all made with locally grown produce.

Another speciality worth seeking out is oraxta, a silky almond milk, and you'll always find a good selection of teas, coffees and juices. Ask for café solo if you'd like a strong shot, or café con leche for coffee with hot milk.

Many bars have live music, or dance floors as the evening moves into nighttime. Even if you're in one of the super-lively clubbing resorts, like Magaluf or Palma Nova, you'll be able to find a quiet spot for when you need a break from the bright lights.

Clubs

Clubs are a legendary part of Majorca nightlife, and you'll find a venue to match whatever vibe you're after. If you're in Palma, a wander through Paseo Maritimo will reward you with a mix of exclusive boutique clubs and classic dance 'til you drop venues.

Paseo Maritimo is home to Tito's, Majorca's oldest nightclub, which in its '50s heyday entertained the likes of Frank Sinatra and Liza Minelli. Today Tito's Mallorca International Club is host to three floors boasting top international DJs and breathtaking city views.

Other Palma hotspots like Santa Catalina or Llonja give you a chance to find quirky clubs that major in live music and are great places to wander through pedestrianised streets hunting the latest independent haunt.

There's plenty of restaurants, so you can enjoy dinner, drinks and dancing in one spot. Magaluf plays host to classic big-name clubs that attract major crowds. International names are a regular feature, and recent visitors have included Stormzy, Calvin Harris and Steve Aoki. It's the perfect area to seek out the best in house, hip-hop and electro dance.

Because evenings start later here, they continue later too, and even smaller resorts will have places that are open until the early hours. While there may not be as many choices of venue, you'll still be able to find somewhere to soak up some of that legendary Majorcan hospitality.

Boat Parties

The Mediterranean is a major part of the culture here, and its role in Majorca nightlife is no exception. Fancy a whole day of summer anthems complete with after-party? Head to Magaluf and seek out a classic party cruise.

For something slightly less rowdy, a party tour will give you a mix of sunshine, swimming, and the chance to see some of the coastal sights of Majorca. With Pirate Party Boats and boats offering bespoke small group trips, you're sure to find something that 'floats your boat' in most resorts. The majority of party boat trips last 2-3 hours and are multi-lingual. Some include unlimited drinks like beer or sangria, and many will include a swim stop or two.

Majorca nightlife is all about finding the ideal evening for you, and whether you're a family who needs an early doors drink and snack, a couple looking for a romantic sunset cocktail, or a group of mates keen to sample some of the very best international clubbing on the Med, nightlife in Majorca will fit the bill. With this much choice, it means you can tailor your evenings to be as perfect as your days.
