Molino de Santa Ponsa

While in Santa Ponsa, make sure you pay a visit to the city's windmill, otherwise known as the molino. Found on the outskirts, the restored building is one of Santa Ponsa's most famous landmarks, and is even visible as you fly into the airport.

The traditional wooden Molino de Santa Ponsa, which was built in 1818 and restored in 1971, is a great place to explore Majorca's history. With thousands of windmills across the island used to pump water or grind grains, it's fascinating to visit a well preserved example of a traditional windmill.

When visiting Molino de Santa Ponsa, make sure you take a camera and snap plenty of pictures of its impressive vanes.

After seeing the windmill, move on to Santa Ponsa where you'll find plenty of sights and attractions to explore. Go climbing and whizz down zip lines at Jungle Parc or watch the yachts come in and out of the bay from Cruz del Descubrimiento before going into the city to enjoy the evening.

Dine out at one of Santa Ponsa's many restaurants, or go to The Square where you can watch tribute acts play live music in the family-friendly venue. If you'd prefer to relax on a beach after seeing the windmill, head to Playa Santa Ponsa where you can hire a sun lounger and unwind as you bask in the warm Spanish sunshine or paddle in the cool, calm waters.
