S'illot in Majorca

Make sure you explore neighbouring S'illot on your holiday to Sa Coma, a small town that's right next door. With its beautiful beach leading into turquoise Mediterranean waters, it's just a short stroll from the heart of Sa Coma.

Having grown up from its origins as a traditional fishing village, S'illot is much closer to its roots than Sa Coma, which has seen more development. You can watch old fishing boats being hauled out of the water up a concrete ramp every day, as the local fishermen bring their catch ashore.

S'illot's beach is very similar to Sa Coma's, but it's much smaller and usually a lot quieter, perfect if you want to have a peaceful day in the sun. There's a selection of water sports available at the beach if you want to have some fun, including windsurfing, banana boat rides and pedalo hire.

There are also facilities by the beach for when you need to grab a bite to eat or refreshing drink. When it's time to explore a bit, buy an ice cream and go for a stroll along S'illot's palm-lined promenade. Here you'll find a decent selection of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. Browse for some souvenirs or handmade crafts, then sit down for a cool drink with views out to sea.

Things are very relaxed once the sun goes down in S'illot, ideal if you want to have a pleasant night with your loved ones. If you're after a more lively evening, stroll back over to Sa Coma or take a five minute taxi to Cala Millor. Just don't stay out too late if you're up early for a diving trip or a visit to Safari Zoo.
