Punta De N'amer in Sa Coma

If you want to explore the local area a little bit and enjoy some spectacular views on your holiday to Sa Coma, make sure you head to Punta de n'Amer. From Sa Coma's beach you'll see the cape stretching into the sea on your left, a 200 hectare nature reserve that has preserved a small section of what this part of the Majorcan coast used to be like. There's a clear path that runs for over a kilometre, which takes you out along the cape.

If you're going in the hottest part of the day, make sure you take plenty of water with you and consider wearing a hat to keep the sun at bay. If you don't feel like walking, you can go on a horseback ride instead and gently amble along the path.

At the end of the path you'll reach the Castell de n'Amer, a 17th century watchtower. You can climb the step to the roof, where you'll have incredible views back over Sa Coma and Cala Millor, as well as out across the sparkling Balearic Sea.

Make sure you have your camera with you, as you'll want to take lots of photos of the scenery.

After soaking up the views, have a refreshing drink in the shade at the bar next to the castle. Then head out along the little track that runs towards the edge of the cape, where you'll have even more stunning views out to sea.

When you've finished exploring Punta de n'Amer, make your way back to the Strand Sa Coma and spend the rest of the day relaxing in the sunshine on the beach. Or if you've booked an afternoon diving trip with Oceans Edge, look forward to exploring the depths of the Mediterranean Sea.
