Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
Like the rest of Italy, Sicily currency is the Euro. It’s straight-forward to change money when you arrive here, but you may find you’ll pay eye-wateringly high rates of commission, especially if you change your money at the airport. Many prefer to exchange some of their money before they leave, so they are ready to enjoy the excitement of Sicily from the get-go. It’s handy to have the cash for taxis or tips when you arrive, as well as that first delicious arancini or glass of Donnafugata Brut. You can order your currency straight to your door with Thomas Cook travel money.
If you like to use a mix of cash and card while you’re away, you’ll find ATMs are in most holiday resorts and towns. Major cards are accepted in tourist restaurants and shops, but cash is often preferred. If you plan to use your regular bank card, do let your bank know you’re travelling, so they don’t flag up any transactions as suspicious. Be sure to ask them about fees for transactions abroad, too.
