Molyvos Castle

The picturesque village of Molyvos is often said to be the most beautiful on the whole island of Lesbos. It's well worth at least a day here to spend some time wandering along the quaint cobbled streets, browsing the unique shops, boutiques and bakeries.

Head down to the lovely pebbled beach and you can enjoy a great view of the village and the castle standing tall behind you. This beach has Blue Flag status, so you know that its cleanliness and safety is of the highest standard. The inviting sea makes snorkelling a popular activity from this beach, so why not take a dip while you're there?

A trip to Molyvos wouldn't be complete without visiting the impressive castle that keeps watch from the top of the village. For a very small entrance fee of around two euros, you can go inside, take a walk around the grounds and enjoy the incredible 360 degree views from the top.
