Sveta Eufemija church in Rovinj

Visit the city's largest monument, the Church of St. Euphemia, which sits on a hilltop looming over the Old Town. Built in 1736, the building uses a baroque style with decorative stone walls, a tall bell tower and a marble tomb of St. Euphemia inside the alter.

The bell tower was designed to replicate that of the Church of St. Mark in Venice and has a large copper statue of St. Euphemia on the top. Climb up the tower for stunning views of the picturesque city and glistening Adriatic Sea.

Explore inside to see beautiful paintings dating from 1883, stained glass windows and lavish detailed ceilings.
