Take a boat to dinner

This is possibly what Daniel Defoe had in mind when creating his Crusoe character in the 1700s, although Robinson would not have been served with the fresh fish, octopus or lamb expertly grilled here by owner/chef Domi. The castaway theme rings true, given the lack of electricity and the fact that this culinary gem is accessed by a taxi boat from Hvar town harbour. Some diners even go native, tip-toeing over the adjoining pristine white stones of Mekićevica Bay for a pre-lunch dip. Having outlined in perfect English the fresh catch of the day, Domi prepares, serves then hails in his hungry guests.
