Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
Mexico’s official currency is the Peso.
Whether you’re going to Mexico to chill out on some powder sand beaches, sip a cocktail or explore the history, there’s so much to do in this amazing country, which means you’ll probably need some spending money.
Mexican currency comes in 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 Peso notes. It’s good to have a variety of Mexican Pesos, as having larger notes can be handy for excursions, but smaller notes are good when you’re paying for a few drinks. Currency in Mexico is abbreviated by the dollar sign, $, but you might see it printed as MX$ or $MN.
Mexican Peso coins come as $1, $2, $5 and $10. These pesos are handy for tips, as it’s customary to tip waiters between 10% and 15%.
If you’re looking to experience the authentic side of Mexico, carry some smaller Mexican Peso notes and coins with you and try haggling at the markets. They're great places to pick up some complete bargains, from clothes and food to souvenirs and home furnishing.
Also, if you’d like your money to go further, it’s best to eat outside of the main tourist areas, as food is cheaper and more authentic.
