Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What's the weather like in New York in September?
New York’s location on the east coast of the United States means the city has a continental climate, with temperatures cooling in September as summer turns into autumn. Although you'll get plenty of sunshine, the cooler weather’s great if you want to explore the city.
Climatic influences
New York has four distinct seasons, and you might find September more comfortable compared to the heat of summer. The Appalachian Mountains keep things from cooling too much, while offshore winds mean the Atlantic Ocean doesn't cool things down as much. Tall buildings and skyscrapers have the double effect of keeping heat in and winds at bay.
Averages
The average high in New York City during September’s 24ºC, which drops to a pleasant 16ºC at night. The sea temperature’s 21ºC, while humidity’s low. You'll get 92mm of rain over eight days, and 12 hours of daylight with seven hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be high so make sure you look after your skin in the sun and wear plenty of sun cream. The sun sets at 7.30pm at the start of September, and closer to 6.30pm at the end of the month.
