What’s the weather like in Miami in August?
In August, Miami’s tropical climate brings hot, sunny and humid weather to the city. With plenty of sunshine you’ll have lots of opportunity to relax on the beach, although it’s worth bringing a light rain jacket to protect yourself from showers and thunderstorms. August is at the height of the tourist season in Miami, so expect the beaches and streets to be quite busy.
Averages
On average, Miami experiences daytime temperatures of around 28°C in August, rising to 31°C in the hottest part of the day. In the evenings the temperature dips to a pleasant 24°C, but you’ll certainly be grateful for air conditioning when you return to your bed for the night. Although Miami experiences very good weather at this time of year, wet weather’s common with around 160mm of rain expected over the course of the month. For days at the beach, the sea water’s a bath-like 30°C, perfect for swimming and snorkelling.
