The glorious resort of Side is on a pretty peninsula, about 800m long, near Belek in the Antalya region of Turkey. The biggest geographical influence are the Taurus Mountains, which are behind the town and run parallel to the Mediterranean Sea. These hills can block colder winds from reaching Side, which gives the ancient town slightly higher temperatures than resorts that do get the winds.Averages
