What’s the weather like in Madrid in October?
If you’re thinking about escaping the cold autumn weather at home for clear skies and sunshine, October is the perfect time for it. The weather is slightly cooler than the summer but it’s still very mild, which is ideal for sightseeing and exploring the city.
Geographical influences
Madrid weather in October is quite pleasant compared to most European regions. This is because of the city’s Mediterranean climate that brings warm weather in the summer and mild temperatures in the autumn and winter. Rainfall is slightly more common in October, but it’s nothing to worry about with just a few showers scattered over the month.
Averages
The average temperature at this time of year is 15°C, which is quite mild considering it’s autumn. You’ll need a jacket at night though as temperatures fall to lows of 9°C. Around 40mm of rain is expected to fall across ten days of the month and you can look forward to at least four hours of sunshine per day.
