What's the weather like on the Costa Blanca in December?
Located in southern Spain along the Mediterranean, the Costa Blanca is a popular beach holiday destination including the resorts of Benidorm and Alicante. December marks the start of winter on the Costa Brava with mild temperatures, cold nights, a few scattered showers and plenty of sunshine. It’s not warm enough to go on the beach this month, but the weather’s good for sightseeing and exploring along the coast, especially if you prefer cooler temperatures.Averages
In December, the average temperature on the Costa Blanca is a cool 12°C, reaching pleasant average highs of 18°C in the peak of the day. After dark it gets much colder, with a low of 7°C, so you’ll need jumpers and a coat for evenings out at this time of year. 25mm of rain’s predicted in December, but with just five wet days expected it’s unlikely you’ll experience wet weather, while any showers are usually short-lived. If you want to swim in the sea, the Mediterranean is a chilly 15°C.Costa Almeria
