Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Tenerife in January?
Just off the west coast of Africa, Tenerife’s the largest of the Canary Islands and enjoys warm weather all year round. January’s one of the coolest and wettest months but there’s still plenty of sunshine.
Geographical influences
With hot winds and the occasional dust storm, Tenerife may often feel like the nearby Sahara Desert but temperatures are a lot less extreme thanks to the Canary Current - a stream of water from the Atlantic Ocean that helps to cool things down. Mount Teide attracts the rain and blocks the wind so the below resorts stay warm and dry. The south is generally warmer and drier than the north, and coastal spots get less rain than inland areas.
Averages
The average temperature in Tenerife during January is 20ºC, perfectly warm enough for relaxing on the beach. Evenings tend to be a bit cooler so be sure to pack some warmer clothes as temperatures averagely drop to 12ºC. The average sea temperature’s 20ºC, while humidity’s low and generally ranges between the mid-60s and early-90s. Average rainfall’s 43mm over 5 rainy days.
Daylight
During January you can still look forward to 11 hours of daylight with 6 hours of sunshine each day, which means it's a great month to book Tenerife holidays. UV levels will be moderate so don’t forget to use sun cream, while sunset’s just before 6.30pm at the beginning of January and gets later through the month.
