Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Lanzarote in May?
Sitting off the west coast of North Africa, Lanzarote’s the furthest east of the Canary Islands. It has warm weather all year round thanks to this location, with temperatures getting hotter in May with summer around the corner. You can look forward to lots of sunshine and virtually no rainfall with holidays to Lanzarote at this time.
Climatic influences
Lanzarote can feel like the Sahara Desert in May due to the hot winds and occasional dust storm, although the island has the desert to thank for its hot weather. The Canary Current and north easterly winds will usually keep you cool enough, while dust storms aren't as bad on the coast. Lanzarote’s relatively flat, so there’s not much difference in weather across the island, although the south and resorts that are below are usually a bit warmer and sunnier than the north.
Averages
The average high temperature in Lanzarote during May is 25ºC, which is perfect for working on your tan at the beach or by the pool. Bring your best bathers, but remember to pack some warmer things for the evenings as temperatures cool to 15ºC at night. The average sea temperature’s 19ºC, while humidity’s low and ranges from the early-50s to late-80s(%). Average rainfall’s just two millimetres over a single rainy day.
Daylight
Days are long and sunny in May, and you can expect 15 hours of daylight with nine hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be very high so take good care of yourself in the sun, which sets close to 9pm by the end of the month.
