Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Gran Canaria in April?
Gran Canaria sits around 150km off the west coast of northern Africa, which gives it warm weather all year round. If you go there on holiday in April you'll get lots of sunshine and hardly any rain. The North Atlantic Ocean’s still quite cool, which stops things from warming up too much, although temperatures are getting better as summer approaches. You’ll enjoy Gran Canaria at this time if you prefer cooler weather and lesser crowds compared to summer.
Microclimates
The high mountains in the middle of volcanic Gran Canaria shelter the south of the island from north easterly winds, meaning it’s warmer and drier than the north. The coast gets less rain and warmer weather than the centre, and is kept comfortable by the Canary Current and breezes. The nearby Sahara Desert would otherwise make things too hot, although Gran Canaria can get scorching when hot winds blow over from Africa.
Averages
The average high temperature in Gran Canaria during April is 23ºC, so you'll be spending lots of time at the beach sunning yourself in your bathers. Temperatures averagely cool to 14ºC at night though so pack some warmer clothes for the evening. The average sea temperature’s 19ºC, while humidity’s low and ranges from the low-50s to just under 85%. Average rainfall’s just 6mm over a single rainy day.
Daylight
During April you can expect 13 hours of daylight with eight hours of sunshine each day. Take care in the sun as UV levels will be very high. Sunset’s around 8.30pm for most of April.
