What’s the weather like in Fuerteventura in July?

Fuerteventura’s just over 100km off the west coast of North Africa, which means it has warm weather all year round. July’s one of the hottest months of the year, and you'll get lots of sun and no rain if you're going there at this time. The Canary Current and north easterly winds will help to keep you cool. You'd really feel like you were in the desert if it wasn't for these things, as the Sahara’s so close to the island. Lanzarote’s just to the north of Fuerteventura, and shelters it from winds and rain. You'll get drier and more consistent weather in Fuerteventura than any of the other Canary Islands, where the weather’s usually cooler and wetter in northern areas.

The average high’s 27ºC in July, which is perfect for long days at the beach or by the pool. Things stay nice and warm in the evenings, which only drop to 19ºC. The sea temperature’s 21ºC, while humidity’s low. There’s not usually any rain in July, when you can expect 14 hours of daylight with nine hours of sunshine each day. Use lots of sun cream as UV levels will be high. Sunset’s nice and late just before 9pm, which is great for al fresco dining.
