What's the weather like in Menorca in June?
The Balearic island of Menorca enjoys typical Mediterranean weather thanks to its location off the east coast of Spain. This means it’s lovely in June, and you'll get warm temperatures, lots of sun and not much rain if you're going at this time.
Climatic quirks
With over 300 days of sunshine every year, Menorca’s great if you love relaxing in the sun. The island’s dubbed the ‘Windy Island’ due to its northern position in the Balearic Sea, which means it gets slightly cooler and wetter weather than the other Balearics. The northern tramontana wind is the most notable of several winds that hit Menorca, which blows cool air to the north coast from France. The winds will stop you getting too hot, and make the island great for water sports.
Averages
The average high in Menorca during June’s a lovely 26ºC, while at 21ºC the sea’s perfect for cooling down in. Evenings are pleasant at 16ºC, while humidity’s low so you should be nice and comfortable. There’s 16mm of rain over five days, and you can expect 15 hours of daylight with ten long hours of sunshine each day. Make sure you're using lots of sun cream as UV levels will be very high, and enjoy the late sunset which is around 9.15pm for most of the month.
