What’s the weather like in Ibiza in January?
With the Mediterranean climate bringing mild, wet winters and warm, dry summers to Ibiza, January is usually quite damp and cool on this beautiful Balearic Island. Although temperatures are much cooler in comparison with the hot summer months, January is still warmer than the UK winter, so this can be a good time of year to book your holidays to Ibiza if you want to avoid the high season crowds and don’t mind the occasional rain shower.
Averages
On average, temperatures in January hover around 12°C in the daytime, reaching highs of 16°C in the peak of the day. With lows of 9°C at night, you’ll need to wrap up warm for evenings out at the local bars and restaurants. The island expects around 40mm of rain in January, but any showers are usually short-lived and light, and it only rains on one third of the days in January. If you want to take a dip in the sea, the Mediterranean waters are a brisk 15°C.
