Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What's the weather like in Madeira in May?
Sitting in the North Atlantic Ocean off Africa’s northwest coast, Madeira has a subtropical climate with warm weather all year round. You'll find that temperatures are rising in May as summer gets closer, while the amount of rain is dropping after the cooler and wetter winter. The Gulf Stream’s waters will keep you nice and warm, although the cool Canary Current can do the opposite. You'll be warmest and driest in the south and west due to north easterly winds, however, everywhere gets hot when the Sahara Desert sends warm winds over to Madeira.
Averages
The average high is 21ºC in May, which is perfectly warm enough for you to spend the day at the beach if you plan your Madeira holidays at this time. You should bring some warmer clothes for the evenings though as it can get quite cool at night. The sea temperature is 19ºC, while humidity’s low. There’s 30mm of rain over six days, and you can expect 14 hours of daylight with seven hours of sunshine each day. Make sure you use plenty of sun cream as UV levels will be very high.
