What's the weather like in Funchal in November?
Funchal is the capital city of Madeira, a beautiful Portuguese island in the Atlantic Ocean. The city has a Mediterranean-style climate, so the summer’s hot and dry while the winter can be mild and wet. In November, Funchal is still quite warm, but there’s also a high chance of rain showers, so you’ll need to take a waterproof jacket along with t-shirts and light layers, if you visit at this time of year.
Averages
In November, Funchal is pleasant with warm temperatures, but can be a little wetter, with around 100mm of rain expected over the course of the month. The average temperature at this time of year is 19°C, with highs of 21°C. After dark, temperatures dip to an average low of 17°C, so you’ll need some warmer clothes for evenings out. At the start of November, the sun rises at around 7.25am and sets at 6.20pm, so there’s still plenty of daylight this month.
