Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Madeira in August?
The Portuguese island of Madeira sits off the northwest coast of Africa, with its Mediterranean climate bringing mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. August falls in the middle of Madeira’s high season, which is very popular because of the island’s hot temperatures, warm seas and beautifully mild evenings.
Averages
In August the average daytime temperature in Madeira is a warm 24°C, with highs of 26°C in the afternoons. At night the temperature falls only slightly to 21°C, perfect for evenings out under the stars. At this time of year rain is very rare, with August seeing an average of just 3mm over the course of the month, so you won’t need to pack a waterproof jacket. Each day gets around ten hours of sunshine and, along with sea temperatures of 23°C, it’s an ideal month for relaxing on the beach or swimming in the clear blue waters.
