What’s the weather like in Paris in January?
January is the coldest month of the year, so make sure to pack plenty of hats, scarves, and gloves for your holiday. It’s also very wet and rainfall is expected to fall every other day, so keep an eye on the forecast and keep an umbrella in your bag for any surprise showers.

Paris is the capital city of France and enjoys a Western European oceanic climate, which means that winters are cold and moderately wet. Snowfall is a possibility in January, but it rarely lies on the ground and it’s more likely to rain than snow. The climate is influenced by the North Atlantic Current, which brings cooling winds to the city that lowers temperatures and contribute to night frosts.
