What’s the weather like in Morocco in September?

Morocco has warm weather all year round thanks to its location in North Africa and the Sahara Desert to the south. Things start to cool down a bit in September around most of Morocco but you'll still get high temperatures and lots of sun with hardly any rain. There’s differences around the country with coastal spots having Mediterranean weather. The North Atlantic coast, where you'll find popular Agadir, has cooler conditions because of the Canary Current, while the more southerly Sahara’s very hot. Central regions such as Marrakech generally have higher temperatures than the coast.

The average high in Agadir is 29ºC in September which is perfect for relaxing on the beach. Things are quite pleasant in the evening with temperatures dropping down to 17ºC. The sea temperature is 21ºC, which is lovely and refreshing, while humidity’s low. There’s just a single millimetre of rain, and you can expect 12 hours of daylight with eight hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be very high so don’t forget to take sun cream. Sunset’s at 8pm at the start of the month and gradually gets earlier.
