What's the weather like in Morocco in May?

Morocco is in North Africa with the Sahara Desert dominating the south of the country. You'll have nice warm temperatures in May as summer gets closer, while the most popular holiday destinations hardly have any rain at this time. There’s different weather around Morocco, with places on the coast having Mediterranean weather. Resorts on the North Atlantic coast, such as popular Agadir, have slightly cooler temperatures because of the Canary Current. Things are really hot in the south due to the desert, while most inland areas,  like Marrakech, are also warm as there is no water or breezes to cool things down.

The average high in popular Agadir is 26ºC in May, which is great for relaxing on the beach. You should bring some warmer clothes for the evenings though as is cool to 14ºC at night. The sea temperature is 18ºC, while humidity’s low. There’s 5mm of rain over two days, and you can expect 14 hours of daylight with nine hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be very high so don't forget to pack plenty of sun cream. The sun goes down at around 8.30pm through much of the month.
