What's the weather like in Morocco in April?
Situated in North Africa with the Sahara Desert in the south, there’s different weather around Morocco, although it’s known as a warm country. As spring continues towards summer, things carry on getting hotter and drier. You'll generally get plenty of sun and not much rain if you're going to one of Morocco’s popular holiday destinations at this time.
Climatic regions
Morocco’s coastal spots generally have quite typical Mediterranean weather, with the North Atlantic coast cooled by the Canary Current. The Sahara makes the south really hot, while it’s also hot inland as there’s no sea to cool you down; it’s like this in Marrakech.
Averages
The average high temperature in Agadir during April is 21ºC; perfectly warm enough to relax on the beach in your swimwear. Bring some warmer clothes for the evenings though as things get quite cool, with temperatures usually dropping to 12ºC at night. The typical sea temperature’s 18ºC, while humidity’s low and expected rainfall’s 13mm over two rainy days. You can expect 13 hours of daylight with nine hours of sunshine each day, while UV levels will be very high so take some sun cream. Sunset’s around 8pm in April.
