What's the weather like in Oman in May?
Middle Eastern country Oman has a lot going for it, from its beaches to its cities and its glorious weather. Bordering the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, it has a dry desert climate with warm weather all year round. May is one of the hottest months of the year across the country, and temperatures can be scorching at this time. If you like your holidays really hot, this is a great time for you to visit, but make sure you avoid the midday sun and take precautions to avoid sunstroke.
Averages
The average temperature in the capital, Muscat, is 34ºC in May, reaching a high of 39ºC. With such hot temperatures and extreme UV levels, make sure you regularly apply lots of high factor sun cream, stay well hydrated and seek shade in the hottest part of the day.
