What's the weather like in Oman in April?

Oman is in the Middle East and borders the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. It has a dry desert climate, which brings warm weather all year round. Temperatures get very hot over summer, and things are warming up towards their peak in April. It’s still some way off the hottest months though, making April a good time to visit Oman before the heat becomes too much. You can look forward to long, sunny days at this time of year, as you relax on the beach, take a dip in the sea, or laze around by the pool.

    Averages

In April, the average temperature in the capital, Muscat, is 30ºC, reaching highs of 35ºC in the peak of the afternoon. With this heat, make sure you apply lots of sun cream, seek shade between 11am and 3pm, and drink plenty of water to avoid getting sunstroke. Temperatures only fall to 25ºC at night, so you’ll have to use the air conditioning in your hotel room. There’s only 10mm of rain expected during April, while the Gulf of Oman waters are a warm 27ºC.
