What’s the weather like in Venice in September?
Temperatures begin to decrease in September as summer comes to an end and autumn gets ready to settle in towards the end of the month. However, Venice weather in September is still very mild and the city is less crowded, making it the perfect time for a peaceful getaway.
Geographical influences
Nestled on the northeast coast of Italy, Venice has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and cool, wet winters. There are slightly fewer sunshine hours in September than previous months and the skies get cloudier towards the end of the month. Temperatures are still quite high and you’ll get to enjoy northeast winds blowing through the city daily. These calming winds bring relief from the heat and help to lower humidity levels.
