What’s the weather like in Venice in March?
Venice weather in March is slightly warmer than previous months, but temperatures are still very cold and you’ll need to bring a warm jacket before heading out to explore the city. There’s some rainfall throughout the month and most days are quite cloudy.
Geographical influences
Venice enjoys a humid subtropical climate with cold winters and very hot summers. It’s located on the northeast coast of Italy, where it’s just a strip of land away from the Adriatic Sea. Winds blow in from the northeast and north, lowering temperatures and traveling at around 11mph. Cloud coverage is common at this time of year, which means there’s slightly less sunshine than the summer when skies are clear for most of the season.
