Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What’s the weather like in Venice in January?
Venice is a beautiful city unlike anything else in the world. It’s a popular holiday destination, which is why the winter is a perfect time to visit if you want to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere with fewer crowds than the summer.
Geographical influences
Venice is located in Italy’s Veneto region and is made up of more than 100 tiny islands in the Adriatic Sea. The climate is usually very warm but winters are quite cool with mild humidity levels. The city is known for its winding canals that act as roads around Venice. Its location on the Mediterranean means that Venice experiences a slightly warmer climate in January than most of Northern Europe. It’s also quite cloudy in winter, but you’ll still have plenty of sunshine to enjoy on holiday.
Averages
Venice weather in January is very cold and can be quite dull with an average rainfall of 40mm over eight days. The average temperature is around 6°C, which continues to get colder throughout the day until it reaches an average low of just 0°C at night. You’ll have nine hours of sunlight per day in January with an average humidity of 62%. Swimming isn’t a good idea in January because the water is far too cold at just 11°C with winds reaching speeds of up to 7mph.
