What’s the weather like in Mauritius in April?

Mauritius is in the Indian Ocean off the southeast coast of Africa and to the east of Madagascar. Close to the Tropic of Capricorn, it has a tropical climate and a wet season from November to April so you’ll get quite a bit of rain if you go at this time. You'll still have plenty of hot and sunny weather though. The cooler, drier period runs from June to September. South easterly winds will help to keep you cool, while there are nice breezes if you're on the coast and more warmth inland. Mauritius is quite mountainous and you'll be warmest and driest in the north and west because of this.

    Averages
