Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday
All of our holidays that include flights are protected by the ATOL scheme from the moment you book. So if one of our suppliers fails, you’ll get your money back. If you’re left stranded abroad, a flight home will be arranged at no extra cost. Our ATOL number is 11806
As proud ABTA members we deliver the highest standards when it comes to our holidays. So if you book with us you’re guaranteed the best service. Our ABTA number is P8283, Y6720.
What's the weather like in the Maldives in December?
The Maldives sits off the southwest coast of India and Sri Lanka, which means the Indian Ocean archipelago has warm weather all year round. There’s almost no change in temperatures through the year but the amount of rain does change. December’s at the start of the dry season, and although you'll get some rain, there’s less as the month goes on and you'll still have lots of sun. As the dry season sets in, the winds drop and give you calmer conditions, and the humidity’s also a bit more comfortable.
Averages
The average high in capital Malé is 30ºC in December. Things stay lovely and warm in the evenings which only drop to 25ºC. The sea temperature’s a warm 28ºC, so it’s fantastic for swimming, while humidity’s high. There’s 198mm of rain over 13 days, although you can still expect seven hours of sunshine from the 12 hours of daylight each day. Use plenty of sun cream as UV levels will be extremely high. Sunset’s around 6pm.
