What's the weather like in India in June?
India is a country of mountains, tropical beaches and bustling cities. It’s also a huge country, which means there’s some really different weather depending on where you go. In general, June is a hot month across India, so you’ll need to bring lots of sun cream, stay hydrated, and stay in the shade in the peak of the afternoon. June is also the start of the wet monsoon season for much of the country, with some places seeing vast amounts of rain this month.Averages
In popular Goa on the west coast, the average temperature’s 29ºC at this time of year, with highs of 32ºC and lows of 27ºC. June is an incredibly wet time for the region, and almost 900mm of rain’s expected over the course of 22 days. If you’re visiting Goa this month, you’ll need to prepare for heavy rains by bringing a waterproof jacket. Further north and inland, it’s much drier in New Delhi, which has an average of 75mm of rain across four days in June. It’s even hotter here too, with highs reaching a sweltering 37ºC in the peak of the day.Goa
